Kahrs Hardwood Floors

Kahr's woodworking history stands from 1857 and continuing on through the years. In 1941 Kahr's was the first company that engineered the first the multi-layer parquet board. Their history of innovations over the decades includes being the first manufacturer to offer factory applied floor boards which has now become an industry standard. Moving right along with imaginative innovations into the millennium, they created the Woodloc® joint for all their floors for effortless laying and wonderful results.

Kahr's offers 5 different collections all of which have a UV cured acrylic urethane finish and a sliced wood layer of 1/8" inch in thickness. Thickness of the layers will vary within each collection by offering differing layer amounts and middle coring. Each collection offers a broad array of wood species, shade variations and styles dependant on your choice of flooring to add to the style and feel of your home. The wood strips also come in varying designs and pattern which include 1, 2, and 3 strip boards that vary in giving the floors character, ships decking which is a decorative strip with wood plugs to give a ship deck feel, and a Dutch pattern that gives a cable stitch pattern. The finishes for their floors range between collections from matte finish, satin matte finish to high-gloss finishes.

Over the past century Kahr's has shown its dedication to providing not just exclusive innovations to their customers, but quality, satisfaction, and lasting enjoyment and beauty hardwood flooring offers to the elegant feel of the home. They take pride in their products being acknowledged as "the original hardwood floor".
